DJ Vicious Lee: The Soundtrack of LA Streets this October 2025

From West LA’s Culver City Taco Tuesday to global stages — DJ Vicious Lee brings 25 years of turntable mastery to the streets of Critical Mass.

Art in Motion: Supporting Local Creatives
At Los Angeles Critical Mass, we don’t just ride—we uplift. Every month, we spotlight local artists and performers who bring their talent to our main break, turning the ride into a rolling celebration of community and creativity. It’s our way of giving back and keeping the cultural heartbeat of L.A. alive and thriving.

This October, LA Critical Mass is proud to present a Halloween break party powered by one of Los Angeles’ most iconic musical forces: DJ Vicious Lee.

Born and raised in LA, Shannon Lee Brown — known across the globe as DJ Vicious Lee — is a 25-year master of the turntables whose beats have moved crowds from Hollywood to Amsterdam. He’s the only DJ to appear on a Tupac Shakur recording, toured with Tone Loc, and spun for legends like Will.i.am, Magic Johnson, and Marta Kauffman. His resume reads like a hall of fame: Golden Globe after parties, Sony Pictures premieres, LA Galaxy and Kings championship celebrations, and the official City of LA tribute to Prince hosted by Mayor Eric Garcetti.

But Vicious Lee isn’t just a red carpet DJ — he’s a street rider. A proud member of the Taco Tuesday Bicycle Ride, he rolls weekly with the West LA/ Culver City crew, bringing rhythm, community, and love to the pavement. Taco Tuesday riders have long supported Los Angeles Critical Mass, and this Halloween, they’re riding in full force behind their hometown hero.

This year, DJ Vicious Lee joins forces with the Los Angeles Critical Mass staff to deliver a ride-night experience like no other. Together, they’re curating the break party, commanding the energy, and celebrating the creativity of the community. Vicious Lee will be spinning live and taking the mic as MC for the Hollywood Halloween Costume Contest, where three riders will be crowned: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Expect bold looks, wild energy, and serious bragging rights.

Expect a break party like no other. Vicious Lee doesn’t just play music — he builds atmospheres. Whether it’s a soulful groove or a bass-thumping banger, his sets are crafted to move bodies, lift spirits, and turn any street corner into a celebration.

Meetup: Wilshire Blvd & Western Ave
Time: 6:30 PM meetup | 7:29 PM ride launch
Theme: Hollywood Halloween — costumes, lights, and spooky vibes encouraged
Main Break Performer: DJ Vicious Lee — spinning live at the break stop

From route planning to rhythm, the LA Critical Mass team is behind every detail — making sure the ride rolls smooth, the vibes stay high, and the streets feel alive. This is more than a party. It’s a collaboration between movement makers and music shapers. Let’s ride. Let’s dance. Let’s show LA what we’re made of.

Hosted by DJ Vicious Lee and the LA Critical Mass staff, this year’s break party features a showdown of spooky style and creative flair. Three winners will be crowned — 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place with some hefty gift cards — so bring your boldest look and ride ready to impress.
A longtime rider with the Taco Tuesday Bicycle crew, DJ Vicious Lee rolls out every week with the West LA and Culver City squad — blending bikes, and community spirit with their local ride. Known for their deep roots and street-level energy, the Taco Tuesday riders have always backed Los Angeles Critical Mass. This Halloween, they’re showing up strong to support one of their own as he takes center stage.
