LA Critical Mass: Riding Miles for Regan This February 2026

This February, Los Angeles Critical Mass rides miles in memory of Regan and her unborn child — a ride of remembrance, advocacy, and unity as we stand against traffic violence in our city, amplify our collective voice, and show the strength of thousands moving together with purpose, compassion, and unwavering commitment to safer streets for every Angeleno.

This Month’s Ride Is Dedicated to Regan Cole‑Graham

When Thousands Ride, Los Angeles Listens — Because Our Presence Demands Visibility, Respect, and Safer Streets

Los Angeles Critical Mass is heartbroken to share that this month’s ride will be dedicated to Regan Cole‑Graham, a beloved mother who was tragically struck and killed while riding her bicycle in Playa del Rey. Regan was pregnant at the time of the collision, and the loss of both her and her unborn child has shaken our entire cycling community.

Regan, a local Angeleno, was biking with her husband and children in their community when her life was tragically taken. She was doing what so many of us do every day — riding her bike in her own neighborhood. Her story has touched thousands across Los Angeles, and her loss is a devastating reminder of the urgent need for safer streets for everyone.

As the largest community bicycle ride in the United States, Los Angeles Critical Mass brings together thousands of cyclists every month. We ride to celebrate community, to reclaim public space, and to make ourselves visible in a city where too many lives are lost to preventable traffic violence.

This month, we ride for Regan.

Riding to the Site in Her Honor

As part of this dedication, our route will take us to the location where Regan’s life was taken. This will be done with the utmost respect and care. We will pause together as a community to honor her memory, acknowledge the profound loss her family is experiencing, and stand in solidarity with everyone affected by this tragedy.

This month’s ride will be big — we will be putting in miles, showing up in force, and using our collective presence to bring awareness, visibility, and a unified voice to the streets of Los Angeles.

Our objective is clear: to honor Regan and to call attention to the urgent need for safer infrastructure for every cyclist and family in our city.

Standing Together With SAFE and People’s Vision Zero

We will be joined on this ride by SAFE (Streets Are For Everyone) and People’s Vision Zero, advocacy organizations committed to ending traffic violence in Los Angeles. Together, our communities will stand united in grief, solidarity, and determination to push for safer streets for all Angelenos.

Transportation Options for Riders

This month’s route will travel near and past several major public transportation hubs, giving participants flexible options throughout the night. Riders who wish to join us midway, or who prefer not to ride back to the starting point, will have access to Metro trains, buses, and subway lines along the route.

Whether you ride the full distance or connect with transit at any point, you will still be part of this collective moment of remembrance and solidarity.

Safety First: Stay Behind the Lead Vehicle

As always, safety is our highest priority. We ask all riders to stay behind the lead vehicle at all times. This ensures the ride remains unified, predictable, and protected from traffic. Following the ride rules keeps everyone safe — especially on a night as meaningful and emotionally charged as this one.

Please listen to ride leaders, follow instructions, and help us maintain a respectful, organized, and safe environment for all participants.

Supporting the Family

A GoFundMe has been created to support Regan’s family during this unimaginable time. We encourage anyone who is able to contribute or share the fundraiser to do so. Every act of support matters.

Our Commitment

Los Angeles Critical Mass extends our deepest condolences to Regan’s family, friends, and loved ones. We hold them in our hearts as we ride. We are committed to honoring Regan with dignity, compassion, and respect — and to continuing the work of making Los Angeles safer for every cyclist, pedestrian, and family.

This month, we ride for Regan.
We ride for her baby.
We ride for every life impacted by traffic violence.
And we ride with the hope that our collective presence can help prevent tragedies like this from ever happening again.
