Update for the December 2024 ride

No riding on the sidewalks and no fireworks in Beverly Hills.

Everyone is excited and looking forward to riding the last ride of the year. However, we need to address these rules, and out of good faith, we’re believing all our participants will abide by them.

Riding on sidewalks and using fireworks are prohibited in tonight’s areas due to safety concerns and legal regulations. Sidewalks are primarily designed for pedestrians, and when cyclists ride on them, it increases the risk of accidents between cyclists and pedestrians, potentially leading to injuries. Our first half of the ride area specifically bans sidewalk cycling. Similarly, fireworks pose significant fire hazards. It can also cause serious injuries to those handling them and bystanders. Additionally, fireworks contribute to noise pollution, disturbing residents and pets, which is especially problematic in populated areas. Consequently, local laws often restrict or ban the use of fireworks to minimize these risks and protect the community.

So, with this being said, NO RIDING ON THE SIDEWALKS AND NO FIREWORKS TONIGHT!
