Ride OBC 2025

Los Angeles Critical Mass participated in this year's OBC event, supporting the Litriderz as they led the main bike ride. We were thrilled to connect with numerous bike clubs from around the world during our Friday and Saturday evening rides. It was a joy to see familiar faces from L.A. Critical Mass and to meet new friends, all united by a shared passion for cycling.

Los Angeles Critical Mass made a vibrant appearance at the Ride OBC event, rallying in support of the Litriderz, who were honored to lead the main bike ride. The group participated in several exhilarating rides throughout downtown Las Vegas and the iconic Strip, showcasing the spirit of community and camaraderie among cyclists.

As the Litriderz led and pedaled through the neon-lit streets on the Saturday evening ride, Critical Mass, Riverside Electric Light Parade, Los Ryderz and dozens of other well known bike clubs from across the globe not only celebrated the artistry of custom bicycles but also emphasized the importance of cycling culture in urban environments. This collaboration highlighted the unity of diverse biking communities, fostering connections and promoting the joy of riding in a lively, supportive atmosphere.

We traveled from Los Angeles to Las Vegas for the Friday evening ride, where we met up with Jay, April, and the rest of the Litriderz at the Grand Hotel in the Fremont district.

Although the Litriderz didn’t lead the Friday evening ride Extra Credit Chaos Ride, we were thrilled to see such an impressive turnout of participants that night.

While many OBC bike rides were available throughout the day, we had to make an unexpected stop at a local bike shop to replace some broken spokes on a KHS Tempe XC mountain bike before checking into our hotel. Unfortunately, this meant we missed the earlier Friday afternoon rides.

Thankfully, Swanny’s Cycles in Henderson, Nevada, quickly rushed to replace the spokes on the wheel that needed fixing. They were familiar with the OBC event and recognized us as part of Los Angeles Critical Mass, the largest community bicycle ride in the U.S.A.

They were professional, quick and made our situation a priority so we could make it to the 8:00 PM evening ride. Friday’s ride took us on the Vegas strip.

We made it just on time to meet up at Friday’s ride at 8:00 PM.

Riding OBC Friday night on the Vegas Strip

Saturday April 12th, 2025

For Saturday’s ride we met up early with Jay, April and the rest of the Litriderz in the Fremont district. The Riverside Electric Light Parade was also there with them so it gave us more than enough ample time to hang out with the both of them. We kicked off the evening by riding together to the downtown Grand Hotel, where the OBC meetup was taking place. As the Litriderz readied themselves to lead the night’s ride, the Riverside Electric Light Parade was also getting prepared for the nights ride. The sight of dozens of bike clubs created an ideal setting for us to connect with fellow enthusiasts at the event. The camaraderie and celebration made for an unforgettable experience. We gathered in the downtown Grand Hotel parking lot, where we had the opportunity to meet a wide array of bike clubs from all over the U.S.A.

The ride commenced at 8:00 PM, with the Litriderz taking the lead as they led Saturday’s night ride. The chosen route was exceptional, allowing us to journey through the night alongside hundreds of bike clubs and participants.
