Napoleon “Napo” is a legendary figure in the Los Angeles Critical Mass community, riding LACM since 1999 and serving as a dedicated ride marshal from the early 2000’s.

With roots in cycling that trace back to his childhood, Napo is one of the original participants who helped shape the vibrant culture of urban cycling in the city. His extensive experience and deep passion for biking make him an invaluable asset during Critical Mass. Known for his friendly demeanor and infectious enthusiasm, Napo not only ensures the safety of riders but also fosters a sense of camaraderie among participants. His commitment to the cycling community and his rich history with Critical Mass exemplify the spirit of advocacy and connection that defines this beloved monthly event.

Since 1995, Los Angeles Critical Mass has gathered at Western and Wilshire, meeting at 6:30 PM and starting the ride at 7:30 PM. Over the years, we’ve welcomed more than 1 million participants, with cyclists joining us from across the United States and around the globe.
