This month marked the conclusion of our Summer Ride Series, and we celebrated by exploring the city of champions. Participants were treated to breathtaking views of the city’s landscapes and iconic stadiums, renowned for hosting all-star athletes, top teams, and sold-out music concerts.

Leading the Ride
This month, our ride was led in a Rivian EV SUV. We exclusively use electric vehicles (EVs) to create a cleaner environment for our diverse group of participants, which includes cyclists, inline skaters, etc. By opting for EVs, we can avoid harmful fumes and promote a healthier experience for everyone involved.
The Route
We kicked off our ride on the iconic Wilshire Blvd, heading toward Hancock Park. A strategic left onto Crenshaw Blvd took us to one of Los Angeles’s main public transportation hubs. We extend our gratitude to Metro for collaborating with us this month, allowing us to safely cross the railroad tracks at Crenshaw and Expo.

Meeting Local Culture
As we made our way toward Leimert Park, we were joined by LAPD and a local lowrider car club, showcasing their vibrant show cars with impressive hydraulics. This added an exciting flair to our ride as we paused to regroup and ensure all participants maintained a safe distance from one another.
With masses of cyclists, inline skaters, and participants, our group stretched across long city blocks. Our first break area allowed us to gather the masses, taking about 15-20 minutes to ensure everyone had a chance to rest.
Scenic Views and Breaks
From Leimert Park, we proceeded to our main break area, soaking in the breathtaking landscapes of the city of champions. We passed notable landmarks such as the Kia Forum and Intuit Dome before reaching SoFi Stadium. The views were dazzling, especially along the SoFi trail, which offered scenic routes leading to our destination.
We arrived at our main break area around 9:30 PM, where participants enjoyed entertainment from Sheriff the Drummer and the Drum Healers. This lively performance lasted about an hour, adding a festive atmosphere to our gathering. Attendees also had the opportunity to refuel with snacks and refreshments from our lead vehicle, and to the local food outlets, including In-N-Out, who graciously provided restroom access.
The Return Journey
After a fun-filled break, we departed around 10:30-10:45 PM for our return to Koreatown. The ride back allowed us to once again appreciate the stunning views of the city. We certainly put in some miles this August, tackling climbs on Crenshaw Blvd.

Thank You
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who rode with us for Los Angeles Critical Mass. Though this was the last ride for our Summer Rides Series, our upcoming fall ride routes promise to take us on new adventures. We are looking to ride to the San Fernando Valley and to Northeast Los Angeles in the near future. With this month’s total distance of 24 miles, August 2025 ride route was spectacular, showcasing the beauty of Los Angeles and Inglewood, while promoting community and sustainability. We look forward to seeing you all next month for another incredible ride!
